PURE511 ALERT! The Truth About Aging Hair!

First and most importantly – all hair is dead! It doesn’t “breathe” it doesn’t metabolize so it doesn’t need nutrients or vitamins or anything else. Only the root is alive. “Anti-aging” treatment...s for hair are purely cosmetic. That means they just affect the appearance of the surface of the hair. They can improve its appearance and texture, make it shinier, softer, smoother, temporarily thicken it, and strengthen it to some degree. They can even change its color (after it’s grown out.) But that’s about it.

Skin is living and can be treated to reduce some of the signs and symptoms of aging. The ingredients that can impact the “age” of skin don’t do anything for hair because it has a different structure and different needs. If you had to chose whether to put a chemically-based product on your living hair root or an all-natural hair product, which would you choose to ensure your are keeping your living roots healthy?

PURE511 ALERT! How Companies Claim to Grow Your Hair!

It’s easy to scientifically prove that hair breaks when exposed to excessive combing and brushing. A moisturizing shampoo and a good conditioner will lubricate the hair shaft so the fri...ction caused by combing and brushing is reduced which therefore reduces the breakage. And, if your hair isn’t breaking as much by definition it’s stronger. Furthermore, using a conditioner to reduce breakage will let your hair grow to any given length faster because less of it is breaking off while it grows out. This has NOTHING to do with affecting the actual growth rate of the hair. It’s all about reducing the breakage rate not proving the growth rate.

PURE511 ALERT! Almonds

Almonds, most always said to be nuts, are actually seeds and are extremely popular in kitchens around the world. Amonds are extremely poisonous if not introduced to some sort of heat source. It is generally the bitter almonds that need to be treated to get rid of the poison. The seeds are full of cyanide, and in many countries are illegal to sell without having been processed in order to get rid of the poison within the seed.  To be safe, ensure the almonds you eat (bitter or sweet) have been introduced to some sort of heat source; such as, baked or roasted.

PURE511 ALERT! CASHEWS

Though really seeds and not nuts, cashews grow inside of a shell-like structure that grows on a fruit. When buying “raw cashews” in the store, take note that these nuts have actually been steamed and are not entirely raw. This is because raw cashews contain urushiol, which is the same chemical that you’d find in poison ivy. It can cause the body to have a very similar reaction to one experienced from poison oak or ivy. If a high level of urushiol is ingested, it can be deadly. Cashew poisoning is rare, but those who handle them in order to manufacture them to get the shell off sometimes experience the side-effects.
